Paranormal – Sci-fi Romance FREE Read

I read somewhere the other day that the first science fiction story is considered to be Lucian’s (a Syrian authSoulStealer_600or of the 2nd century), True History. Apparently it’s filled with travels to space, aliens and interplanetary warfare! I am feeling super motivated to track it down and see what it’s all about! My son’s name is Lucian as well, so I’m even more motivated.

Speaking of sci-fi stories, last week I had the pleasure of stopping by Smart Girls Love Sci-fi and Paranormal Romance. We got discussing the paranormal – sci-fi romance spectrum. Some romances are firmly sci-fi and others firmly paranormal…but there are plenty that seem a little bit of both. If you’re interested, I even did up a super nerdy but very nifty diagram, so head over and check it out!

The main takeaway is that the romances that are a little bit of both sub-genres tend to borrow elements from both TimeThief_500x773sides of the spectrum, for example, my latest release, SOUL STEALER is contemporary set (like most paranormals) but has a scientific explanation for my extraordinary beings (time thieves, mind raiders and soul stealers are the result of a genetic mutation and scientific meddling, which is more sci-fi than paranormal). SOUL STEALER definitely straddles the boundary between paranormal romance and sci-fi romance.

So if anyone wants to check out a novella that is both paranormal and sci-fi romance, then check out SOUL STEALER or the first novella in The Anomaly Trilogy, TIME THIEF which is FREE right now.
