Shawn Kupfer

Shawn was born in 1978 on Ellsworth Air Force Base in Box Elder, South Dakota. He bounced around the United States and several other countries during his formative years, courtesy of the U.S. Air Force.

47 Echo, Shawn’s first military science-fiction novel, released on January 17, 2011. It tells the story of Nick Morrow, a half-Chinese convict conscripted to fight in America’s out-of-control war against China and North Korea in the near future.

Shawn currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina (or, as it’s said down South, Row-lee, Nawth Kurr-lyna) with his wife and two dogs. He works as a subcontractor for the U.S. Department of Defense.  His current bad habits include too much coffee, too much time spent on Netflix, and an annoying tendency to make up words.
